The BBQ

Tonight we had a little last minute BBQ. Rachelle and Ted and Renate and Michael came over to enjoy Dan's wonderful BBQ. He made some delicious baby back ribs, jerk chicken, rubbed with love chicken, yummy asparagus and zucchini. It was so good, I couldn't stop eating. For desert he grilled up some pineapple. It tasted as good as it smelled and was the perfect end to a fabulous meal.

The Great Egg Hunt

We took the kids to their first Easter Egg Hunt this morning at the Edmonds City Park. We met up with a few friends and had a great time. The kids got to play at the playground for a little bit before the big hunt. The weather was perfect, though it was a bit on the cold side. But no rain or clouds. We also got to meet the Easter Bunny and get a shot of each of them with him. Speaking of which is the Easter Bunny a him or a her??? I never thought about it before until just now. Hmmm.... Maybe someone will know the answer....

Anyway, the kids had fun picking up eggs and candy off the playground. There was a lot of kids and adults and it was a little crazy trying to keep track of the kiddos. But overall a great time. After the park we went out for a cup of coffee and some cocoa for the kids. It was a great way to dethaw a little. We also got to see the train go by at the end. So that made it all worth it. The kids were excited to see a train so close.

Going to Arizona

Well Dan bought me a plane ticket today. I will be going down to look at houses on Thursday the 27th and come back on Sunday the 30th. I am excited to get to go spend a few days down there and get a feel for the area and hopefully find a house!

An update on the move

Well we still have no set move date. While I am extremely frustrated theres not much I can do about it. We received an email which leads us to believe that we are looking at the first two weeks of April. But really who knows. Apparently something went wrong with the architects and all the interior walls that had been put up had to be torn down. Dan is going down to Az for a meeting on the 26th. Hopefully by then we will know something more. He also has another meeting about the job on the 25th. I am hoping that we will find out more before then though.

In the meantime though we are making great strides with the painting. Last weekend we finished the kids' room as well as the dining room. All we have left is two walls in the living room and 2 walls left in our room. I was hoping to get to it this weekend. But it looks like a change in plans has pushed that back.

I guess I will just continue to go through our stuff for now. I went through the kids' clothes the other day. Its amazing how much stuff they both had that doesn't even fit them.

Ah the joys of painting....

Well Dan and I painted the kids' bedroom this afternoon with primer. Needless to say they have way too much stuff! Over the weekend we packed up most of their toys and oh my goodness is all I will say. We are definitely going to have to go through it when we get to Az. Anyway, I made them a fort out of our dining room to use as their bedroom while we are painting. I think it turned out pretty good and they seem to love it.
