Legoland, Ca

On Monday we headed out to Lego land. We had a great time and I will just let the tons of pictures I am posting tell the story. I will fill in with captions. Beware, this is just a small portion of what I actually took and its still a lot.

We stopped off on the way down to see the ocean.
Its been a long time since we last saw it.

So beautiful.

Thomas greeted us just inside the gate.

And then Bob the Builder.

Our first stop was a boat ride. The next 10 or so pictures are from the boat ride.

This elephant is huge.

A lighthouse for Nana.

Taking it all in.

The octopus band that serenaded us as we headed back to the dock.

On the log ride.
Hayden and I went on the big roller coaster just before this.
He did not like that ride at all.
Cheese!

This is a full size Lego Volvo.

Pretty cool.
Waiting to drive the Lego car.
No she doesn't have to go to the bathroom.

Just goofing off while we waited.
It wasn't that long of a wait either so it was nice.

Putting on her seat belt.

Getting his motor started and a little push in the right direction.

Hayden loved it.

Phedora not so much.
I want out!

This was a fun ride. You had to pull yourself up using the rope and then fall back down. All to do it again.

Hanging out at the MGM.

And then we headed to New Orleans.
And we had to stop by the Mardi Gras too.

Hayden loved this Lego police boat.

Hayden making Phedora smile.

There's a smile.

Our view for lunch.
Root beer!
And Pizza!
Yes I know her food is on the table. Lucky for her I always take wipes to the park to clean off the table. Otherwise who knows what she would catch.
This was the one that he got caught off guard for.
The other ones his tongue was hanging out.

Getting her face painted. Anywhere they have face painting she wants it.

So calm and at peace. She doesn't move at all.

The finished face. So pretty.

A legoland princess. We were on our way out and she was off to meet the princess.

All tuckered out after a long, fun day at legoland. She made it all of 5 minutes before she was asleep.

Dinner at the Fish Co.

On Sunday, Grandma wanted to take us out for dinner. None of us really cared where we went or what we had except for Hayden. He decided that he wanted fish. I know we were just as confused. He very rarely asks for fish as he doesn't really like it. So we headed over to the Fish Co and it was yummy. Hayden decided to go with the broiled halibut. You be the judge of if he really liked it. He said he did. But I think if memory serves me correctly his plate said otherwise as did his face.

Phedora playing the drums with chopsticks

Starting with a piece of fruit.

OK, I'll try it now.

He said he liked it :)

Sunset

Way back on December 27th we headed out to California to see Grandma Bev. It was a long trip, Phedora started asking if we were there yet before we even got out of Phoenix! She continued to whole way. It was worth it in the end though because we had a great time with Grandma. I love sunsets and this is the one we encountered on our long drive to California.

Our First Frost

This morning we woke up to a little frost on the grass and a very cold house.

Merry Christmas!

Hayden was up at 6:30 and had to go in and wake Phedora up. I think he's once again a believer in Santa Clause. At least for now anyway. Hayden was excited to get Unicron from Santa but was a little confused about having a scooter under the tree as well. He wanted to go out and check the garage for it. Phedora loved getting her big bear but was less than amused to have been woken up. As the day progressed she enjoyed the bear more. On Christmas night she came out to get the bear to sleep with him. He is as big as her bed but she managed.

Santa Came!!
And brought Hayden a Rubik cube
A Hello Kitty notebook and pen for Phedora
A Lightening McQueen icepack!
Phedora got a Princess one too.
And a recorder, they each got one.
Whatever was Santa thinking :)
Daddy got a bottle brush for his carboy
Chutes and Ladders from Hayden
A computer game from Auntie Kiki and Uncle John.
Playing with Unicron. Definitely one of the cooler gifts so far.

Opening Phedora's present to Daddy

What is it!?!
March of the Penguins from Grandma and Grandpa.
Wait a min! We don't have a Blu....
They didn't!
I just liked this picture.
Opening the big box from Grandma and Grandpa
Tearing into it
Breaking the tape on the box.
OMG! They did!
Merry Christmas! Look at that smile!
Dan's best Christmas ever!

I am a little short on pictures because I didn't think to recharge the camera battery. Now mind you I charged it the other night and had barely used it since then. We did have the video camera running through almost all of our Christmas morning. We did run out of tape after the first hour and I didn't realize it right away. So we are missing a few minutes. My wonderful hubby spoiled me yet again this year and he not only got me a new camera but also a TomTom. I have been enjoying trying to figure it all out. We went out to Fry's yesterday to get another controller for the PS3 and a new game and movie, it was fun playing with it while out and about. I will post some little video clips later on. Right now I have to go get ready to go to California. We are heading out there for New Years and to take the kids to Lego Land. I woke up sick yesterday morning so I hope it passes quickly. I am down from feeling like I got ran over by a huge truck to just a sore throat now. Happy New Years everyone!
