Bye Mom!
I want to ride the bus...

Really I get to ride the bus?
Are you sure?
Going to the bus... Not quite time yet.
Excited for the bus and his first day of Kindergarten

Here comes the bus...
And the tears...
He couldn't wait to get on the bus.
He didn't even say goodbye or give us a hug :(
Bye Hayden...
I was fighting back the tears as they drove away.
We decided to go to the school and meet the bus.
I really didn't want to miss a thing.
Getting off the bus at school.
Where do I go? Where is my teacher?

Teacher Meetings

Last Thursday we went to Cookies at the Creek, also known as open house at Hayden's school. We got to meet his teacher and see his classroom and then have cookies. Hayden's teacher this year is Mrs. Russell. She seems really nice and Hayden really liked her. It was funny because over dinner the night before I asked Hayden what he thought his teacher would look like just based on her name. Which at the time we thought was Ms. Cross (She just got married and is now going by that name a little confusing but we will survive it). Hayden said he thought she would have curly black hair and blue eyes. He couldn't have been more wrong, Mrs Russell has long light brown hair. Hayden is looking forward to his first day of kindergarten tomorrow! I will be posting lots of pictures and maybe some video tomorrow night so stay tuned :)

Today we went and met Phedora's preschool teacher. Her name is Mrs. Thatch and she also seems very nice. Phedora really liked her and that is all that really matters. Phedora has not been looking forward to school starting again. It will be a big change for her with Hayden not being there with her anymore. She is going to be going Mon-Thurs afternoons this year. Today we went and got a book bag for her and an iron on picture of what else than a castle. She also picked out cowgirl boots and horse shoes. All in all I think it turned out pretty cute. Phedora will be starting preschool on Monday so I will post pictures from her first day then.

Aquarium

Last Friday morning we headed down to The Seattle Aquarium with my Aunt Laura, Cousin Ben and his two girls Georgia and Elanor and my Cousin In-Law Sarah and her three girls Haley, Hannah and Holly. We had a great morning at the aquarium and then headed down the way to The Crab Pot for lunch. The day was way too short but I had a great time catching up with Ben over lunch and all the kids were so good at the restaurant. Which was really nice since us adults were way out numbered, 4-7!The kids and I thought the traffic going into Seattle would be bad on a Friday morning so we left early and ended up having no traffic and being 40 minutes early!
Posing for pennies to throw in the fountain.
We want another penny.
I'm not smiling anymore. A typical Posey picture.
Getting ready to help feed the sea urchins.
Handing out the seaweed.
Watching them eat.
Hayden had a great time feeding them.
Looking at the jelly fish ring. He thought this was pretty cool.
The gang.

Across the way pointing in the water is my cousin Ben and his girls Georgia and Elenor.
Next to Ben in the yellow shirt is Sarah and Holly.

This seal was soooo cute!
He floated around like this the whole time then if he came by the wall would push back off with his front paw.
Cheese!
Fishy Kisses (literally)

Woodland Park Zoo

This afternoon the kids and I went to the Woodland Park Zoo with our friends Casey and Howie. We had a great time seeing all the animals and the penguins! Though I wasn't as impressed with the penguin exhibit as I thought I would be given all the hype around it, it was still fun to see the penguins and the baby penguins swimming around. The kids had a great time and enjoyed the zoo. The last time we went to the zoo in Phoenix they didn't seem to enjoy it as much as today. Though it was really windy and hot last time. Today turned out to be the perfect day. It was nice and sunny but not too hot at all.

Take my picture! She just loves to have her picture taken!
Posing with the penguin.
Surprise you are taking my picture instead of the bears!

This bear reminded me so much of Isis she will sit just like this. Too cute!

Posing in the tree!

Hayden's turn. Thank goodness for Casey and her tallness I couldn't even lift Hayden into the tree he is more than half as tall as me!

Family Photos

(These are done newest to oldest... Enjoy!)

By Monday afternoon it was nice and sunny out. While Phedora was supposed to be cleaning her room Hayden and I went over to the little park with Ayla and Chaundra. The kids had fun spinning themselves in the boat swing. I was really cute!

At least they are keeping their heads safe..LOL

Instead of cleaning her room Phedora took a 4 hour nap!

On Monday morning Dan and I went across the ferry to pick the kids up from their weekend with Nana and Grampee. It was slow going on the ferry. The fog was so thick that you couldn't see out of the ferry windows and of course there were boats out fishing as well. We took a scheduled 7:50 ferry to Kingston then got back on the same boat that we took over. Our return boat didn't leave until almost 9:10! By the time we got half way across the fog was starting to burn off. It was a long morning but the kids were really excited to see us.

On Sunday August 30th Dan and I attended my cousin Jenette's wedding at the Seattle Aquarium. It was an absolutely beautiful wedding. They were married in front of a wall sized fish tank. We had a lot of fun celebrating Jenette and Collin's wedding with them and family. It was so nice to see family members that we haven't seen in what feels like forever.

On the 21st our friends Ben and Ashley were married. They had a small private ceremony Friday afternoon just with their families at St Edwards Park in Kennmore. On Saturday they had their reception at The Monte Villa Farmhouse in Bothell. It was a nice laid back reception with friends and family. The farmhouse was beautiful!
Ready to go to the reception. She wanted ringlets but her just wasn't holding them but it still turned out really cute!

Hayden Lost His...

First Tooth! Tonight while Hayden was brushing his teeth his first loose tooth fell out. I am shocked at how quickly he lost it since he just realized it was loose on Monday. I seem to remember my own being much more stubborn! He is very proud and says he his officially a "BIG BOY"

He has decided to wait until Daddy get's home to have the tooth fairy come. He wants Daddy to see his first tooth.

Dan's Fish

Last Sunday, Dan and his Dad went out to Westport fishing on Blue Eyes. Apparently blue Eye's Captain knew where to find the fish! Within an hour or so the boat had its maximum allowance of 31 fish. These are the two that Dan caught and got to keep.
