Planning our next adventure...

We had hoped to spend Labor Day weekend hiking the Olympic Peninsula at Hurricane Ridge, Dungeness Spit and a possible trip up to the Sol Duc Hotspings.  However, I have recently found out that Miss Isis is not allowed on any of the trails.  I am so disappointed as I was so looking forward to sharing the beauty of the area that I enjoyed as a child with my own children.  I think we will end up staying on this side and making a trip up to the state fair and taking a hike around here.  If anyone has any suggestions for a beautiful kid friendly hike I would love them.  We are looking to stay at or under 5 miles.  I am going to look into a few over on Whidby Island that look like fun.
