Phedora: Update

We went in this morning to see the cardiologist. It went really well and I found out later this afternoon that I should have used different terminology when I explained it all to Phedora. I told her what an EKG was and told her that they would hook her to the machine and it would read what her heart was doing. She literally thought I meant hook. We went out his afternoon and she said you know mom they didn't actually hook me to the machine. I said What? And she replies they didn't put me on a hook. Too cute. Anyway though, back to the good stuff. They did the EKG and the Dr came in and listened to her heart. He said that everything is fine and there is nothing to worry about. She actually has not one, not two but three different murmurs. She has one called Still's, which is the one the pedi thought she had. Then she has another one called a Venus hum. The third one I don't remember the name of it was really long and sounded pretty scary. But that one just means that she has a musical sounding heart.

All is well though and that is the best thing. Her blood pressure was a little high today at 122/85. She's never had high blood pressure before though and probably was just worried about the hook :)

He recommended that we take both of the kids in when they are about 10-12 years old to get their cholesterol checked since it runs in the family. Phedora refused me any pictures today. But she was as usual very cute even with all the wires attached to her.

Moving Companies...

Well today we had our first round of movers through. So far so good. The company that I want to move us is the same one that moved us here. He actually has estimated at a cost less than what they charged us to move here. I am hoping that they will be cheapest estimate as they were really good bringing us here. They even got our stuff here 2 days early! He said they could move us out on Monday the 6th and have our stuff up there between the 13th and the 15th. I have two more appointments tomorrow afternoon and then I can submit them to the company. I am hoping to have all the arrangements made by Thursday.

Update: Phedora's Heart

We took Phedora back to the pediatrician today to recheck her heart murmur. He wants us to go see a Pediatric Cardiologist. So we are going tomorrow bright and early. He wanted us to have it checked before we left the desert. While I am a little nervous I'm not at the same time. He thinks is a Still's heart murmur. Which is also known as an Innocent heart murmur, meaning that it will not affect her life in any way and she should grow out of it. But just to be on the safe side we are headed in tomorrow to do an EKG. We will see how that goes. She was very restless today while we were there. Our appointment is at 7:30 and should take about 1 1/2 hours to complete. I will post an update when we get home.

Phedora...

Is ready to go home. For the last couple of weeks the kids will get up in the morning and pack their bags to go home. Usually they have an afternoon flight to catch. Well.... tomorrow we are going to go to the zoo, so I decided to use Phedora's backpack for our lunch since its out here and I can find it. First I open up the 2 side pockets and find a pair of underwear in each pocket. Then I open the main area to find a pair of slippers, a slinky and a pull up. I pull them out and keep unpacking. She has 3 pairs of jeans, a nightgown and a sundress. I'm curious what she was planning on using for a shirt or if she was planning on wearing the sundress with the jeans. That is something she does regularly so that wouldn't surprise me. On the bottom of the bag she has necklaces, bracelets, hair clips and two pens along with a piece of paper. Too cute! I guess I should have unpacked her bag sooner. She's been telling me that she doesn't have any pants lately. Lucky for her I found them! Here's a pic of the contents for you.

We found our new house

Dan went out today and looked at houses. I believe he looked at 5 different places and we have decided on a 4 bedroom 3 bath 1900 sqft house in Silverlake. For those of you that don't know where Silverlake is its just So Everett. It is a 2 story house with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs. Dan said that the bedrooms were all really good sized. Downstairs is the kitchen, dining room, living room, 4th bedroom and a 3rd bathroom. The kitchen and dining room is hardwoods and the rest of the house is carpet. I am so happy that there is no carpet in the dining room! Hayden and Phedora both have a really hard time getting the food from their plates to their mouths. Most of it hits the floor. We are planning on using the 4th bedroom as an office/workout room/guest room. I talked to one of the owners this afternoon and she seems really nice. She is really excited that a young family is moving in and even said we could get a puppy! The other rentals said "No Puppies" So once we get home we will be able to start looking for the newest addition to our family.
The only thing that Dan said was wrong with the house is that is has a small backyard. But there are always parks and our kids aren't much into playing in the yard anyway. I guess just around the corner there is a little playground. Down the road there is also a little pond that the geese bring their babies to.
Another added benefit of this house is that its only about a 10 minute drive to Phedora's preschool and the elementary school is just a 5 minute drive. Hayden cant wait to ride the school bus. Luckily for him its about a 30 minute walk so he should be able to ride the bus. I have a few pictures of the inside but the quality isn't that great. For some reason I was unable to save the pictures that they sent us to our computer. So I had to print them and then scan them back on. But even though the pics aren't that great you can see what I am seeing.
Oh yeah, we have picked out the breed that we want to get. Now we just have to find a breeder as they are not easily found. I found two breeders in Oregon and a possible breeder in Olympia. Yes, Oregon is a bit of a drive but its one that I am more than willing to make. We have decided on a Schipperke. They have the temperament of a lab but are only 12-15 pounds. I will find a couple pics real quick so you can see. They are so cute and look just like a little bear cub.
Anyway, enjoy the pics for now and I cant wait to be home and settled!

I'm not a huge fan of tile counter tops. But now I have a reason to buy a slab of granite. You cant roll any doughs out on tile :)

I was afraid it looked small but Dan assured me it is anything but.
Looking from the Living Room to the Dining Room

I think the clock stays. There is a lady living there now and the clock is still hanging up there.

Isn't she just the cutest?

Someday soon we will have one named Isis.

Dancing with the Stars

Phedora loves to dress up in her frilly Princess dresses and watch Dancing with the Stars with me. Last night we watched the dances from Monday night and they had a great time dancing along. Enjoy!

Hayden tying his shoes

Hayden has been learning how to tie his own shoes. While it takes a little bit of extra patience and planning he is doing really good at it.
