Camping

For this years camping trip we decided to stay a little closer to home.
We headed up to Red Bridge campground,
its located about 30-45 minutes outside of
Granite Falls on the Mountain Loop Highway.
This campground is right on the other side of a...
red bridge... hehe
Hanging out in the tent.
Despite the looming rain we headed up and found an awesome
camp site right on the Stillaquamish River.
Pretty much as soon as we got the rain fly on and tied down
it started pouring!
My husband is a genious.
We couldn't blow up our air mattress' because it was raining
and we needed the car to use the pump.
Using 4 batteries Dan was able to make the pump work!
We blew our mattress' up and relaxed in the tent in comfort.
It downpoured for a good hour.
Bugle fingers
Nap time for the pups
The view from our campsite.
Downstream from us.
Dan trying out my new hat.
I think he kinda looks like
Walter Matthua from Gumpy Old Men.
Time for Gourmet S'mores
The perfect marshmallow
Roasting the graham cracker
melting the peanut butter cup
No pictures of the finished product though...
Poor Millie was so cold.
We turned one of Phedora's t-shirts
into a shirt for him.
He seemed to really like the shirt.
Sleeping by the fire on Saturday afternoon.
One of the many blue jays that frequented our site.
A waterfall along the Mountain Loop Highway.
Same waterfall.
We decided to drive the Mountain Loop Highway home.
We have been on both sides of the Highway but never the middle part.
We have been missing out!  It was the most beautiful drive through
the forest along both the Stillaquamish and the Sauk River.
We found some great camping spots right on the Sauk River that we
are going to camp out next time we go out.
The powerful Sauk River.
Absolutely breath taking.
The water rushing down the river was so loud but
so beautiful.

Pictures from my phone

These are all pictures that came off of my phone.
They are not in any order of what
happened when.  Just pictures.
The view from our backyard, I love it
In the old tree at the farmers market.
This tree was an estimated 804 years old when it was cut down.

They love getting SnoCones at the Farmers Market!
He has blue teeth from his SnoCone
Hayden wanted to find out what would
happen if he jumped off a bunk bed
A week after he jumped he was still limping so
we went in for X-Rays.
They didn't think it was broken but because
of the way their bones grow they weren't
100% sure so he wore a walking boot for the
next week just to be sure.
They took over my bed one night.
I had to squeeze in between the two of them
Neither one would move.
After walking Hayden to school one morning
we headed down to the lake.
Beautiful Morning!
Nana brought the kids Easter Bunnies and this
is the end result of Hayden eating his.
He was such a clean baby,
what happened?
Now he is always messy.
Hayden's face he made at Boy Scouts.
He sewed the buttons on all by himself.
"Phedora this is for you"
Hayden left this on the counter for Phedora one morning.
Cool Dog!
Our herb garden under the pear tree.
We have basil, thyme, oregano, sage, rosemary and mint.
The beautiful Sapphire necklace Dan gave me
for our 8th wedding anniversary.

The Easter Bunny at the local bookstore.
Its magic mom!
Hayden mowing the lawn for the 1st time.
This is now his weekly job.
Coloring... her favorite thing to do

Father's Day

For Father's Day this year we headed back to
Beer Fest at St Edwards Park in Kenmore
Dan taking a little break from the fun
Phedora desperately wanted her face painted all day.
But they couldn't find the booth.
Granpie saved the day and found the booth.

Kindergaten Graduation - Class of 2023

Phedora's kindergarten class invited all of us parents in for their graduation ceremony.
They sang 3 songs for us and received diplomas.
Afterward they had refreshments of juice and cookies.
It was a great way to spend the afternoon.
Phedora and her class singing "My Little Puppy"
She is in the 3rd Row.  She's a little hard to see
but there are glimpses of her throughout the videos.
"Popcorn Popping"
"I Love You"
They made caps the day before graduation
Waiting to be called up.
Receiving her diploma from her teacher, Mrs. MacDonald
Showing off her diploma
Reading it too.
Having a snack, its been a big day!
1 more day and she's going to be a 1st grader.
Where did the time go?
