Kla Ha Ya Days ~ Parade, Street Fair and Salmon BBQ

Today, was by far our busiest day of the Kla Ha Ya Days weekend.
It started out this morning with "Cocoa Coffee"
This is the snake that Phedora won fishing yesterday
at the carnival.  She loves it!
Cocoa!
Waiting for the parade to start.
They got a little impatient and the parade started a little late.
However, this pic was when we first got there.
When is it going to start?
Its 10:30!
Hurray!  Its time!
What a beautiful day we got for the parade!
The license plate said 1941
I'm assuming that means it was built in 1941.
Regardless, its a nice car!
I love old cars!
Her and her snake
The dancing ponies.
I cant stop watching this video!
Getting her first Henna.
Its a Seahorse
Mommies turn.
I got a flower.
So pretty!
They put purple sparkles on it.
I should have taken a picture of mine,
it had multi colored sparkles.
Hayden wasn't interested in getting a Henna.
So he got an airbrush tattoo instead.
They say it should last about a week.
We shall see
Salmon BBQ put on by the Kiwanis
Fresh Wild Caught Salmon,
salad, baked beans, garlic bread and fruit punch.
It was perfectly cooked, moist and delicious.
Enjoying her salad
She didn't even so much  as try the salmon
He loved it all though
Enjoying our lunch at the park
dessert was one of those orange sherbet ice cream cups
with the wooden spoons.  Brought back childhood memories for sure.
He's going to go swing.
I told you...

So far this has been a great fun-filled weekend.  I just wish Dan could be here to enjoy it with us.  He was here last year but we only did the carnival.  I wish we had done it all.  This will definitely be a yearly tradition for our family though.  Tomorrow there is a classic car show at Harvey Field.  Even though I really just want to stay home and veg tomorrow I have a feeling that we will make an appearance down there.  I do after all love looking at the classics.
Our beautiful weather we have been having is supposed to stick around.  Could summer finally be here for good?  I sure do hope so but just in case we are enjoying it while its here!
