Our little storm

Last night we had some impressive weather. While I only caught the south valleys storm on video, ours later was much better.

I love watching the lightening and we are blessed with a lot of lightening storms down here. I have seen more lightening since we got here than I did in a year in Wa. I thought that the kids might enjoy seeing it as well. Seeings how they were already asleep I tried t ovideo tape it. While it was difficult I did get a few good ones. Which I was able to edit out of the longer version.

Soon after Dan and I turned off the camera and headed to bed the storm reached us here. It was much better and I wish I had got up and recorded it. Our storm arrived with lightening strikes filling out bedroom with light. Thunder louder than any other and a downpour of rain that would soak you to the bone if you walked out the door. The sidewalks were flooded with in moments and our grass got a much needed watering. For some reason the sprinklers have stopped coming on the last couple of days. So its always nice to get a good free watering.
We are supposed to see some more rain, thunder and lightening throughtout the rest of the week. I am hoping for some lightening free daytime rain as the kids love going out to play in the rain.
