Desert Breeze Park

Ok, I am way behind here so I will be playing catch up over the next few days. So please bear with me on this. Not this last weekend but the weekend before we were going to take the kids to the zoo. However, there were a few factors that kept us away. First we got up to a dreary overcast day. But we thought we'll head over to the zoo and check it out. It could be nice there, right? So we drove up to Phoenix and when we got there it looked like rain and a lot of people were leaving the zoo. It was only about 10:30 and the zoo opens at 9. So we figured this was a bad sign and we decided to wait. Instead we took a little drive around Phoenix and Scottsdale and then went out to lunch at this Chinese buffet Dan and the guys go to.

After lunch we headed over to Desert Breeze Park. Everyone we have talked to raves about this park but we just never made it over there to check it out. Its a huge park with all sorts of fun things for people off all ages. There's quite a bit of open grassy fields, tennis courts, a lake you can fish in, a playground, spray pad and you can also take a train ride through the park or ride on the carousel. This may be our new favorite park.

The kids had a great time playing on the playground and it was a perfect day for the park since the sun wasn't really shining and it was nice and cool.
